If you’re a regular reader or a member of our forum, you know where we stand on “easy money”, “sure things”, or “Magic Bullets” – no such thing.

But you’ve probably also heard me go on about the level of opportunity available to all, and the near-certainty with which a committed individual can achieve success online.

Today we get to turn that talk into a tangible, actionable Treasure Map with the public release of “My $100k Blueprints!”

Tax time is never fun, but this year it’s a boon – for you!

If you’ve been generating any income online, you know that come the end of the year, with tax time right around the corner, all those little slips start showing up in the mail: your “1099” and other income declaration forms listing every payment, commission, and bonus you’ve received over the year, so that you can make sure you pay your fair share of taxes.

Landing Page Tips For The ‘Marketing-Challenged’, Part 1

Are your internet marketing efforts falling short of the mark? Not making enough sales? Too few opt-ins or sign-ups?

Everyone has goals for their websites and if those goals aren’t being met, then you need to understand why in order to rectify the problem.

We’ll assume you’re getting traffic (obviously, if no one is visiting your site, then there is no one to buy, opt-in, etc.). If visitors are arriving but not converting, it may be time to analyze your landing page. Your landing page is the first page that people come to when they go to your website. That page will also have all of the avenues which visitors can easily navigate to other areas of your website.

The 7 Deadly Sins of Internet Marketing

With so many people putting in some much time, effort, and resources into making money online, you’d think there would be a lot more successes. After all, the business of online marketing has matured quite a bit: there’s a wide array of business models to pursue, with easily learned strategies and effective tactics.

So why do so many fail?

As someone with nearly two decades in the trenches, and daily exposure & interaction on our own forum of 3,200+ internet marketers, I’ve seen it all. But while I can still be surprised, as I consider the question, the phrase “nothing new under the sun” comes to mind. In other words, I see marketers making the same mistakes today as I did when I began trying to make money online. It seems for every successful effort, there are 10 or more internet marketers – new & old – failing to achieve their objectives.

As a business model, “Content Marketing” makes a lot of sense. It’s the strategy of using great content to drive our success, and it lends itself to internet marketing beautifully.

The internet itself is, in a very real respect, just a massive interconnected web of content.

But right now, I’m not interested in “the internet”, I’m interested in driving the success of my own business. Suddenly, the grand vision starts to get a little abstract. “Content Marketing” also means, one way or another, finding ways to come up with that “great content”. And therein lies the rub, as they say.

In 2010, we published our first course on making money online, “Adsense $100k Blueprint“, a guide to building a 6-figure Adsense business by duplicating how we built our ‘in-house’ Adsense business.

The course went on to get rave reviews, and sold well enough to qualify us as a Clickbank “Premiere” account, an exclusive tier for their top vendors . We released “Traffic $100k Blueprint” a few months later, and followed our initial ‘A100k’ course with a Version 2 almost exactly a year after it was first published.

We also launched our private paid forum, intended initially to provide a deeper level of support and access for customers of the course. Since the private forum launched, it’s blossomed into one of the best internet marketing forums on the net, with 25,000+ posts and nearly 3,000 members.

If you read our blog regularly, or participate in our live training sessions, you might have noticed we’re on a “2.0″ kick lately.

I use it primarily in the term “Internet Marketing 2.0″, something I coined while writing the “Disruptive Correction” report. Ok, so I wasn’t the first one to coin the term… In any event, I’d actually begun using the term before that, about 18 months ago.

Since my ‘job’ revolves around making money online, I’m acutely aware of the state of internet marketing. For better or worse, it’s a different environment than it once was, with different rules.

Launch of Internet Marketing 2.0

For over a year we’ve been talking about the ‘death’ of “Internet marketing 1.0″, and the ‘dawn’ of “Internet marketing 2.0″.

We use the February 2011 roll-out of Google’s Panda update and the recent Penguin update as the dividing line between the old and the new – the final death of the ‘old’, and birth of the ‘new’. Last night marked our launch into this new paradigm.

Tuesday is one of our two live training sessions in our “$100k Results!” Live Training and Coaching membership. We used last night’s session to introduce our new Internet marketing 2.0 traffic and ranking strategy.
